PROPOSED PROJECT
Ingredient Source Tracker
Track where ingredients come from using supplier documents. Check that origin and harvest claims match the right batch, and flag missing information for your buying team.
“Single-farm coffee,
2026 harvest.”
Two parts of this claim need evidence tied to the current batch.
EVIDENCE INCOMPLETE“Supplied by Valle Cooperative for the 2025 harvest.”
- Supplier
- Valle Cooperative
- Period
- 2025 harvest
- Linked release
- Current batch not confirmed
An origin story needs
the right evidence.
A coffee brand wants to describe batch C-26-04 as “Single-farm coffee, 2026 harvest.” Its document from Valle Cooperative covers the 2025 harvest and does not name a single farm. The team needs supporting records for both statements before using them in the campaign.
WHAT IS USUALLY DONE
A chatbot can find a supplier document and summarize where an ingredient comes from. But that document might describe last year’s harvest, a different batch, or a group of farms rather than the single farm named in your campaign.
WHAT SOVRUN CAN DO FOR YOU
Sovrun would build a searchable tracker for a selected ingredient range. Each record links to the original supplier document and page, alongside the supplier, batch, and harvest date. The tool checks each statement in your proposed wording against those records. Missing or conflicting information becomes a request for your buying team to follow up.
Match the batch,
the document, and the wording.
A supplier name alone is not enough. Check which ingredient, batch, and harvest year the document describes, then show the exact passage supporting the campaign wording.

See what is missing.
Search supplier records, see which statements they support, and give the buying team a clear list of missing documents to request.

How we’d make it happen.
Organize the records
Read the product codes, dates, and source details. Keep each result linked to the original page, file version, and person responsible for the document.
Check the wording
Compare each statement with the records for the correct ingredient batch and harvest date.
Request what is missing
Send missing or conflicting information to the buying team and keep a record of what wording was approved and why.
Where AI helps
We test AI tools on your actual supplier documents. They read the details, find relevant passages, and flag mismatches. They cannot prove that a document is genuine or independently confirm where an ingredient came from.
What people approve
Your buying and quality teams check that documents are valid, cover the right batch, and support the proposed wording. Marketing uses only the statements those teams approve.
What we’d need to start
- Original supplier documents you have permission to use
- Ingredient, supplier, batch, and harvest records
- Rules for accepting documents and the people who approve product claims
How we’d test it
Check whether the tool reads the details correctly, links to the right pages, and spots mismatched batches or harvest dates. Count unsupported claims correctly held for review.
Prepared for Food & beverage. We would agree on the work after reviewing your brief, materials, and requirements.
