PROPOSED PROJECT
Menu Copy & Allergen Audit
Compare customer-facing menu text with approved dish and allergen records, then flag discrepancies for the food team.
Example brief
A restaurant’s approved kitchen record lists a yogurt dressing for a salad, while a delivery description still says “dairy-free.” The pilot should surface the contradiction with its sources and leave the correction to the responsible kitchen reviewer.
Example output
- Listing text: “dairy-free.”
- Conflict: approved dish record includes the yogurt dressing.
- Release status: block approval until the responsible food-team owner resolves the discrepancy.
WHAT IS USUALLY DONE
Menu descriptions, delivery listings, and allergen sheets are updated in different places. A changed recipe can leave old wording on one channel, while a spelling fix distracts from a more important discrepancy.
WHAT SOVRUN CAN DO FOR YOU
Sovrun would build a review tool for one menu. It maps each listing to the approved recipe record and flags inconsistent names, ingredients, prices, and allergen wording. Missing information blocks approval; the kitchen or food-safety owner resolves it.
How we’d deliver it
Map
Connect each public listing to the correct approved dish record.
Compare
Flag missing or conflicting information and separate editorial fixes from food-safety questions.
Resolve
Require the responsible owner to approve factual changes before exporting updated copy.
Where AI helps
AI maps inconsistent dish names and proposes copy corrections. Allergen checks compare explicit approved records; the model must never infer that a dish is safe or allergen-free.
What people approve
The chef or responsible food-safety owner approves ingredient and allergen information. Editors handle tone only after those facts are confirmed.
What we’d need from you
- Approved recipe and allergen records
- Menu and delivery-channel exports
- Current prices and item IDs
What you’d receive
- Cross-channel menu audit
- Evidence-linked correction queue
- Approved copy export and unresolved-item list
How we’d test it
Test with known discrepancies and incomplete records; confirm that missing allergen information is escalated rather than guessed.
Prepared for Food & beverage. We would agree on the work after reviewing your brief, materials, and requirements.
This is a proposed project, not completed client work. The examples show what we would use and produce, not measured results.
