PROPOSED PROJECT
Course Practice Builder
Help course teams turn an approved lesson into useful practice: worked examples, questions at different difficulty levels, and explanations for common wrong answers. Ground each draft in the course material and give instructors a review screen before exporting it to their learning platform.
Same-sized pieces. A better starting point.
Worked example W01
Source / L03, page 2
Change the parts before adding them.
One third becomes four twelfths.
One quarter becomes three twelfths.
Now all seven pieces are the same size.
Build practice
from what was actually taught.
A fictional fractions lesson explains why thirds and quarters must be rewritten as equal-sized parts before addition. The worked example shows 1/3 = 4/12 and 1/4 = 3/12, giving 7/12. Practice then asks for an equivalent fraction and a new addition problem, 1/2 + 1/3 = 5/6. The source lesson and all items are authored examples awaiting teacher approval.
WHAT IS USUALLY DONE
Practice is assembled by copying textbook questions or asking for a generic worksheet. The questions may use a method that has not been taught, repeat the same difficulty, or contain an incorrect answer key. Teachers still have to reconstruct how each item relates to the lesson.
WHAT SOVRUN CAN DO FOR YOU
Sovrun would build a practice-authoring workspace around the institution’s approved lesson and learning goals. Drafts include a worked example, a supported question, an independent question, and explanations for plausible wrong answers. Each item points back to the relevant lesson passage. Teachers can inspect the reasoning, correct the wording, and approve the exact questions before export to the agreed learning platform.
Model it. Support it.
Then ask for a new attempt.
The progression changes the task instead of repeating the same question three times. Teachers can inspect the answer and lesson reference before releasing any item.
1/3 + 1/4
1/3 = 4/12 → 1/4 = 3/12 → 4/12 + 3/12 = 7/12
W01 / L03 / p. 21/3 = ?/12
Each third contains four twelfths.
P01 / L02 / p. 31/2 + 1/3
Find equal-sized parts before adding.
P02 / L03 / p. 2Why not 27?
Adding 3 and 4 changes the size of the pieces. First rewrite both fractions using equal-sized parts of the same whole. The teacher reviews this explanation and decides when to show it.
A practice set
ready for teacher review.
The proposed first build covers a defined lesson, its learning goals, and one export format. These boards show the intended deliverables, not a published worksheet or measured learning gain.

How we’d make it happen.
Start from the approved lesson
Identify the learning goal, taught method, vocabulary, and source passages. Agree on the expected question progression before drafting.
Build and check the practice
Draft questions and explanations, verify calculations, and show where each idea comes from. Flag material outside the lesson instead of quietly adding it.
Let teachers approve the set
Review accuracy, difficulty, and accessibility. Export the approved revision and verify that questions and answer keys import correctly.
Where AI helps
Language models propose question variants and explanations from the supplied lesson. Document models locate supporting passages and diagrams. Calculation checks verify answer keys where deterministic methods apply, while source and difficulty checks flag unsupported jumps. Model confidence does not make an item correct; subject reviewers approve the final content and learning sequence.
What people approve
Teachers confirm curriculum alignment, mathematical accuracy, reading level, accessibility, and whether a wrong-answer explanation is useful. They approve answer keys and the export format. Learners do not receive unreviewed drafts, and the system does not grade students or replace a teacher’s assessment decisions.
What we’d need to start
- Approved lesson materials with stable page references and learning goals
- Expected methods, learner level, accessibility requirements, and example marking guidance
- The target learning-platform format and teachers who approve questions and answer keys
How we’d test it
Have teachers review a set of lesson-linked items for accuracy, alignment, difficulty, and useful feedback. Independently recompute answer keys and test plausible wrong answers. Check that an unsupported topic stays flagged and that the approved export matches the reviewed questions. Any learning improvement needs a classroom evaluation, not a claim based on a worksheet.
Prepared for Education & learning. We would agree on the work after reviewing your brief, materials, and requirements.
This is a proposed project, not completed client work. The visuals and numbers show example outputs, not measured results.
